This 3 day workshop introduces students to an overview of all that OpenBuildings Designer has to offer. You will discover the workflows that occur in everyday Architecture modeling and have the opportunity to experiment with them yourself. You will learn to model with slabs, stairs, columns and roofs. You will also learn the basics of floor, wall and ceiling modeling. You will also get to work with placing casework, circulation items such as ladders, escalators, ramps and elevators and place curtain walls.

This 3 day workshop is designed for new and existing users to have a hands-on experience in using OpenPlant CONNECT Edition applications. The course utilizes a combination of lecture and hands-on exercises covering the basics of OpenPlant Modeler including how to create a new model, place parametric and custom equipment, route piping, check connectivity, clash detection and how to generate isometric sheets.

This course is designed to give a quick start to reality modeling with drones and ContextCapture. The student will learn an introduction to drone technology as well as some of the laws regarding drone use. The student will also learn best practices on using a drone as well as images from other sources to be used with ContextCapture. The course will also give an overview of how to use ContextCapture to create a reality model, or 3D mesh, for use in MicroStation or other CAD packages.

With ContextCapture, you can produce even the largest and most challenging 3D models of existing real-world conditions, including scales as large as entire cities, from simple photographs, in order to easily and quickly provide context for design, construction, and operations decisions for all types of infrastructure projects throughout the world. This class will cover guidelines for capturing photographs, setting up a ContextCapture project, inputting the photos, going through the triangulation process, and exporting models to OBJ.

This four day course teaches users how to import SHP file, create new map models and attach references, rasters, and features in Map Manager. Users will learn how to manipulate the display, order and symbology of features as well as perform topology cleanup and use topology creation tools to define and edit topology layers, overlaying topology layers, and outputting the results of spatial analysis.

Bentley Navigator is a tool for real time, interactive, intelligent 3D model review, animation and simulation. It has features for visualizing and querying both graphical and non-graphical information. This course is for individuals who need to review analyze, mark-up and distribute results to project team members throughout a project’s life cycle.

OpenPlant PowerPID Fundamentals introduces the new user to the basic features of OpenPlant PowerPID. The student learns to create a detailed P&ID starting with a tour of PowerPID?s Main Taskbar pallet and Task Navigation Controls. Using these tools, the student learns how to place and modify equipment and vessels while tagging components. Using the tools, the student creates an assembly of components and inserts a newly created assembly into the P&ID. During the second half of the course, the student uses their acquired knowledge to create a second P&ID. Using line connectors, the student will learn how to link the process lines of the two P&ID drawings. When complete the student learns how to generate reports using the utilities. Live training courses are very interactive. Students will continually engage with the instructor to ensure a successful learning outcome that includes a course assessment.

This course is designed to teach anyone who uses point clouds how to use Pointools Edit to create, edit, and animate their designs from point cloud scan data. You will learn to use Pointools Edit’s tools to go through a typical workflow using point clouds after the scan data is capture including processing and editing, reusing, and collaborating through visualization and animation.

This course is for individuals who need to work in the managed environment. ProjectWise is a collaboration system used by architecture, engineering, and construction teams to manage, find, and share CAD and geospatial content, project data, and Office documents. You will learn to navigate the ProjectWise Explorer client, work with integrated MicroStation, AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications and to use the web interface.

It focuses on the options available to administrators from within the application, as opposed to those things done externally through database manipulation. This hands-on training walks students through the project design cycle, including setting up a project, existing ground data, geometry, regression, turnouts, track bed design, cross sections, columns, annotation, and reporting.
